Maryam Majdzadeh, B.A., J.D., is an Associate Lawyer at the Deer Lake Law Group (Burnaby, BC), with a focus on obtaining the best possible outcome and the most cost-effective solution for her clients.

Her diverse legal background allows Maryam to help clients dealing with complex family law matters and general civil litigation in Provincial and Supreme Court, RTB hearings and Small Claims Court applications. Maryam is pleased to help clients with various criminal charges and driving prohibitions.

She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia in French Literature and a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa French Common Law Program. Maryam completed her articles at a prominent firm in Vancouver, B.C., where she gained experience in criminal law with the focus on driving law, specifically Immediate Roadside Prohibitions and ICBC-issued Driving Prohibitions.

Prior to moving back to B.C., Maryam volunteered tirelessly as a legal intern with Access Pro Bono and spent her time assisting Civil Chambers’ Duty Counsel and resolving issues under the Residential Tenancy Act for both landlords and tenants. Additionally, Maryam volunteered with the Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa and the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program, where she developed a passion for helping individuals and families deal with civil and criminal matters. Maryam strives to make the legal process as transparent and as smooth as possible.

Maryam is fluent in French and Farsi and is pleased to provide legal representation to clients in the language of their choice.
