About
Elham Beygi is a founding partner at Englobe Law LLP. She formerly worked as a Litigation Lawyer at reputable firms such as Cambridge LLP and Morrison Law, where she provided counsel in a broad litigation practice that included corporate/commercial, real estate, estate, construction, and constitutional disputes. She continues to represent clients a s a co-counsel with Morrison Law.
Elham’s legal practice is grounded in a multidisciplinary perspective, with a pragmatic and compassionate approach. She holds a LL.M in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at York University with focus on Law and Philosophy. She obtained her LL.B. from Shahid Beheshti University. She also completed her NCA studies at Osgoode Hall Law School. She successfully defended her PhD Comprehensive exam in Legal Philosophy at McMaster University and is currently finalizing her PhD dissertation. She also holds a certificate in Maritime Law and Shipping Contracts from Lloyd’s Maritime Academy of London, UK.
In addition to her legal practice, Elham has taught a broad range of courses at various universities in Ontario including McMaster, York University and University of Toronto, on topics that include law and society, critical thinking, gender studies, as well as political science, legal philosophy and organizational behaviour. She has authored many articles, including two legal pieces that have been published by Springer. In addition, has also been actively involved in many community initiatives, including a travelling platform for Farsi-speaking scholars in the humanities, arts and social sciences. She is a member of many legal organizations, such as the South Asian Bar Association of North America and the Women Law Association of Ontario.
Elham is fluent in Farsi and has a basic understanding of French.
